The Miami Dolphins were busy on Tuesday.  The team made an expected shakeup in its front office and added a few new names to its list of head-coaching interview

Welcome to the wildest NFL offseason in recent memory. The league's regular season ended nine days ago — one day for every NFL franchise that now needs a head coach. It's pure, unbridled chaos and the Miami Dolphins are firmly in the thick of it.

Sheppard is not the only candidate that has a connection to the Dolphins franchise. Miami requested to interview Rams defensive coordinator Chris Shula, who is the grandson of Miami Dolphins legend Don Shula. Chris Shula’s Los Angeles Rams defense finished in the top-ten in points per game allowed this season.

Of course, the easiest example is the Denver Broncos, who took on $85 million of dead space the past two years when they released veteran QB Russell Wilson, then proceeded to make the playoffs in 2024 and earn the No. 1 seed in the AFC in 2025.

The Miami Dolphins finished the regular season with a 38-10 loss to the New England Patriots. Following the game, reports from around the league surfaced that Miami was expected to keep head coach Mike McDaniel for the 2026 season.

He's the first in-person interview for Miami as coaches under contract can only interview virtually. Stefanski spent the last six seasons with the Cleveland Browns, leading the team to a 45-56 record during his tenure. Cleveland made the playoffs twice and won a postseason game in January 2021.

The Miami Dolphins have interviewed Seattle Seahawks offensive coordinator Klint Kubiak for their head coach opening. Klint Kubiak is the son of former Super Bowl-winning head coach Gary Kubiak and has an extensive coaching background.

In a bit of a surprise, the Miami Dolphins have requested to interview lame duck Las Vegas Raiders defensive coordinator Patrick Graham for their open head-coaching job.

The Green Bay Packers want Matt LaFleur, but contract negotiations are what separates both sides from a long-term extension at the moment. While a deal doesn’t get done, there will be questions about the future of both sides.
