John Harbaugh reportedly plans to meet with only three or four NFL teams despite eight head coaching vacancies, as President Donald Trump endorses him for the New York Giants job.

The Miami Dolphins, after bringing GM Jon-Eric Sullivan on board, reached out to John Harbaugh and Chris Shula among five candidates for their head coach job.

Andy Reid of the Kansas City Chiefs is currently the highest-paid NFL head coach at $20 million a season. He signed a five-year extension in 2024 for $100 million. Sean Payton of the Denver Broncos comes in second at $18 million and Harbaugh’s brother Jim makes $16 million.

The Browns were one of the original seven teams who reached out about John Harbaugh in the 45 minutes after he was fired on Tuesday, and they’re still working through a possible interview with him as soon as next week.
