PHILADELPHIA -- Entering his second season with the Philadelphia 76ers, all eyes were on Paul George and whether the 9-time All-Star could get back to the player he once was to help the Sixers succeed. He had a miserable 2024-25 season, as did the entire team, and was hoping to bounce back.

Rookie VJ Edgecombe stuffed the stat sheet on Wednesday, helping the Sixers pick up their fourth win in five games.

The Sixers fell back to earth Monday night at Xfinity Mobile Arena. They had their three-game winning streak snapped with a 125-124 overtime loss to the Nuggets. Joel Embiid goaltended a Bruce Brown layup with 5.

For the Philadelphia 76ers, that guy is Dominick Barlow. A 4-year big man from Overtime Elite, Barlow is averaging 8.4 points and 5.1 rebounds while shooting 54.2% and starting 22 of the 25 games he has played in while on a two-way deal. He is somebody who doesn't need the ball to produce and is a reliable piece for coach Nick Nurse and Co.

With Kelly Oubre Jr. and Trendon Watford back, the Sixers have their full roster available for the first time in two years. Nick Nurse plans to be “a little more fluid” with lineup combinations.
